Mehndi Catering — The Right Food for the Day
Mehndi is the longest day of the wedding for the bride — sitting still for hours while henna dries. The food has to match: light, finger-friendly, full of color, easy to eat with one hand. Aroma Curry caters mehndi ceremonies across Mexico with menus designed specifically for this event, not just a smaller version of the reception.
The Mehndi Menu, Designed for the Day
Live chaat station: pani puri, sev puri, bhel, papdi chaat, aloo tikki chaat, dahi puri. Light bites: vegetable samosas, paneer tikka, hara bhara kebab, dhokla, khandvi, methi muthia. Mini meals: small plates of pulao, dal, raita that can be eaten one-handed. Sweet: jalebi, kulfi, falooda, motichoor laddoo. All vegetarian by default — most mehndis are veg-only.
The Lassi & Refresher Bar
Mehndi is usually a daytime event in warm weather, especially at beach destinations. Our refresher bar is the heart of the mehndi: sweet lassi, salted lassi, mango lassi, rose lassi, jaljeera, nimbu pani, kokum sherbet, bel sherbet, masala chaas, fresh coconut water, watermelon agua fresca. Cold, hydrating, and matched to the festive colors of the day.
Multi-Day Coordination
Most couples book us for the full sequence: mehndi → haldi → sangeet → ceremony → reception. This means the mehndi menu is intentionally lighter so guests are not overwhelmed before the bigger meals to come. We coordinate the full week with you — including non-overlap of dishes across events so guests get variety from event to event.
